Click "Start Chatting," and the magic begins. Your chosen AI Personality will kick things off with an introductory message, setting the tone for your dialogue or roleplay. From there, the conversation is a two-way street! You're not limited to simple back-and-forths; you can describe actions, environments, or even how you perceive the AI character to be feeling. Don't worry if it takes a little bit of time for your AI friend to reply—good conversation is worth the wait! You can expect a thoughtful response within 30 to 60 seconds. As the conversation evolves, our AI keeps the context in mind, drawing from recent exchanges and a summary of the overall dialogue to keep things coherent. While it may not remember every tiny detail from the beginning of your chat, it'll have a good grasp of the ongoing theme.

Users who are not signed in default back to the GPT-3.5 model, which also provides good replies, but not as sophisticated as GPT-4.

Yes, it is. AI Personalities is currently still in development, so you can explore it freely. I want as many people as possible to enjoy the power of interactive storytelling. However, if a lot of users start using this website, I would probably require you to add your own OpenAI API key to your profile, to mitigate the AI costs away from me.
